Typography is the art and technique of arranging type to make written language legible, readable, and appealing when displayed. The arrangement of type involves selecting typefaces, point sizes, line lengths, line-spacing, and letter-spacing, and adjusting the space between pairs of letters.

Designer's Notes

Kids Future, a font created by kids that helps kids stay in school.

Guatemala is one of the Latin American countries with one of the highest percentages of illiteracy, at least 18% of the population is illiterate. The lack of economic resources is the main reason why kids don't go to school or drop out early on.

We worked with a group of first graders that already are in the Common Hope program, each one of them created an alphabet. After the selection, retouching and digitizing process the result was: Kids Future, a distinctive beautiful children's font.

Every donation to this project helps a kid to go to school, or helps another stay in it.

With Kids Future, we are re-writing the future of thousands of kids.
