Designer's Notes

This is the final version of my 10-year-long effort to make GNU Unifont (GPL2 + OFL 1.1) better (this is a fork, and I have a detailed documentation page at https://stgiga.github.io/UnifontEX which details a LOT). Paul Hardy (current maintainer of upstream Unifont) approves of my changes. Also, by no means is UnifontEX intending to replace or usurp mainstream Unifont. Also, any old versions of this project that might exist are ones I found to ultimately be quite obsolete in hindsight, and honestly had significant problems. I am a much different person now than who I was back then, in MANY ways. Oh, and I often look back on my older work and wonder what on Earth I was thinking, and this applies to those older versions to quite a significant degree.

As of December 12th, 2024, it now supports Unicode 15.1. This was an impressive feat.
